October: Embracing the Beauty of Fall

Greetings from the Whidbey Institute!

As the Director of Operations, I am delighted to share this magical time with you. Fall has enveloped our lovely land with its enchanting charm. The weather is nothing short of perfect—clean, clear, crisp, and just the right mix of wet and windy. Yet, the sun continues to grace us with its warm presence, reminding us of the beautiful balance in nature.

The recent rains have breathed new life into the forest, and with the Island County burn ban lifted, we are gifted with the opportunity to embrace the full spectrum of autumn’s offerings. The vibrant colors and the fresh, earthy scent in the air create a haven of tranquility and inspiration.

Our dedicated staff is tirelessly working to ensure a successful close to the year. We are engaged in a flurry of activities, from redesigning our website to rewriting policies, all aimed at enhancing the Whidbey Institute experience. Our team is also crafting our year-end appeal letters, and we appreciate your attention and support when we launch the appeal.
Your contributions are vital in helping us continue our mission.

As we evaluate the past year, our goal is to end on a high note, reflecting on our achievements and setting the stage for future successes. We are blessed with a little more time before winter fully sets in, and we are making the most of this period of reflection and preparation.

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to reflect on who we want to be and the impact we wish to make.
What will you be dressed as this Halloween? Remember, you can be anything you want. Why not choose to be inspirational? Why not aim to be someone who makes a difference in the lives of others?

Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, let’s embrace the spirit of the season and make the world a better place, one inspired action at a time.

Gratefully, Madisun Elizabeth, Director of Operations
