My husband Phil and I were led to Whidbey Island and the Institute through the unexpected blessing of homeownership in spring 2010. I first came to the Whidbey Institute as a volunteer and was also lucky to attend the first-ever Beaming Bioneers conference at WI in October.
I'm a non-fiction writer and activist focused on the education youths in East Africa. My interest in community and sustainability merge wonderfully with the Institute's mission, and I am thrilled as well as honored to be part of this community and place on earth.
