Going to the Edge-The Iona Renewal Retreat for Clergy conversation
Led by Fritz and Vivienne Hull
June 9 - 16, 2012, Iona, Scotland - Moved to next year...Click here for more information and to registerWe invite you to join us on the Island of Iona in the western Hebrides of Scotland for a special renewal retreat for clergy---an opportunity to draw back from the demands and pressures of your work and invite the fresh inspiration of Spirit to deepen your personal life, find new inspiration and resources for your ministry and be restored by the beauty and power of this ancient, sacred place. Our theme this year is Going to the Edge - a powerful metaphor for our journey and work as clergy today. Historically Iona has been known as “the island at the edge of the known world.” As the home of Celtic Christianity, Iona represents a leading edge theologically in the restoration of Creation and nature to historic Christianity. And personally, the Iona retreat invites you into the company of pilgrims who over the centuries have “gone to the edge” to discover creative and courageous ways of thinking and responding to the challenges of their own time.
The Clergy Renewal Retreat is open to clergy of all denominations and diverse forms of ministry. This inspiring renewal retreat is led by Fritz and Vivienne Hull.Fritz Hull is currently the director of the Spirit of Legacy Project that was begun in 2006 and is a program unit of the Whidbey Institute at Chinook.
