Heaven on Earth

I arrived at the Whidbey Institute on a Sunday. I had booked a personal retreat cabin and was assigned the Heron. This wonderful cabin exudes peace and tranquility, and promises sweet dreams at night. It has a very comfortable bed, and the lovely yellow coloured walls made the cabin feel very warm and cozy.

Although I had been told that everything is very much a part of the land, still the closeness to nature took me by surprise. Everything lives in a co-creative relationship and mutual respect is shared.

Right now I'm sitting outside the main building looking in the direction of the caretakers cottage, and I must say it is absolutely beautiful. My stay here has meant a lot to me as I found myself find the space to listen within, but equally important, listen to the land and Mother Nature. Plus, I got to meet the wonderful people that works tirelessly to make Whidbey Institute and the Chinook land a place for spiritual learning, personal growth, and building relationship with nature.

So, thank you, Whidbey Institute & the Chinook land for giving me this experience!
