I came in burned out and wanting to recover my center. I left transformed and full of ideas for the next season of my career.

About Us

The Chinook Center of the Whidbey Institute

The Chinook Center of the Whidbey Institute is a conference and retreat center with overnight facilities for 30 people and daytime capacity for groups of 150. Located on the Chinook lands three miles up the island from the Clinton ferry dock on Whidbey Island (about an hour north of Seattle), the Center includes 70-acres of meadows, gardens, wetlands, forest, and trails.

Much of the power of our initiatives and events comes from the land which we have cared for and honored for over thirty years. It is our teacher, our grounding, and our inspiration. For a fuller description of the facilities and forests, go to "Place."
